Mahim Sofa Bed

Mahim came from a long-standing fascination with transforming furniture—finding ways

to make spaces work harder without making the product feel complicated. The intent was simple: create a functional, space-saving sofa bed that doesn’t rely on heavy mechanisms or require the user to “figure it out.”

It had to be intuitive.

The focus was on building something that could withstand everyday use, something hardy, reliable, and honest in its construction. Sheesham wood became the natural choice, not just for its strength but for its ability to age well over time. Every section was thought through to ensure durability, to handle repeated transformations, and to avoid any points of failure that typically come with convertible furniture.

The core of the design lies in a system of interlocking wooden slats. The base extends effortlessly when needed, allowing the sofa to transition into a bed without any mechanical complexity. The cushions simply unfold, no awkward adjustments, no compromise on comfort. The idea was clear: when someone sleeps on it shouldn’t feel

like a sofa bed.
