Bone Inlay

Over the past seven years, I have had the pleasure of designing a range of bone inlay decor accessories for Mela Artisans. The collections I have created have varied in style, from bohemian to modern, and have

featured intricate patterns and vibrant colors. One of my closest collaborators during this time has been Sarfaraz, a pioneering craftsman from Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh. Together, we have worked to create some of the most fun and playful decor items on the market. Sarfaraz, is one such artisan that Mela Artisans helped set up a small scale business, mostly for exported handicraft goods, and impacted him greatly. My endeavor is to continue working with artisans such as him, and help him keep his art form alive.
